Construction and Mechanical Contracting for Pulp and Paper
Lorneville is the construction and mechanical contracting company organizations like JD Irving, Resolute Forest Products, and Aditya Birla Group turn to when planning major projects. Our journey began with boiler installation and maintenance, and today, we boast a track record of successfully executing some of the most significant construction and mechanical projects in northeastern North America. With this unique blend of experience and success, you can be sure that Lorneville is well-equipped to handle any project in the pulp and paper industry.
Lorneville has years of experience in the pulp and paper industry and has completed many projects, including the fabrication and installation of new equipment and repairs to existing equipment. We provided the complete mechanical and electrical scope for installing a new Clyde Bergemann Electro-Static Precipitator at the Northern Pulp Mill in Abercrombie, Nova Scotia. That included the ESP installation, ash conveyors, chutes, tank and field weld lines on ductwork, boiler house modifications, and electrical work.
Project managers working on-site alongside engineers and trades add a layer of accountability to the project. This dedication to excellence has earned us recognition for the quality we’ve achieved, and named one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies. As we’ve grown, we’ve worked to maintain a smaller company’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion, and we bring this passion to every pulp and paper project we work on.
At Lorneville, we understand that the key to project success lies in the strength of the team. We assemble a core team for every project comprising a Senior Project Manager, senior trade supervisors, and project engineers. This core team is the project’s backbone, and we leverage their capabilities to build the best possible team. This approach enables us to efficiently and safely complete large-scale and long-term projects, such as our work on the Irving Pulp and Paper New Continuous Cook Plant–a complex project spread over two years.
